Ode to Melody

Leave it to the princesses of R&B to get on board with Melody Ehsani‘s lastest travel inspired collection. These high profile pieces give us a taste of eras past while giving a contrasting hint of retro sci-fi. Ancient motifs (Egyptian horns and paper cranes), 80s movie icons (does the Mars necklace ring a bell? Tron perhaps?) international luster (map on your chest!), not to mention…airplane rings and butterfly earrings with so much Swarovski glitz they will blind you! If Miss Melody’s creations haven’t yet sealed the deal, check out bits of her inspiration story from Jasmine’s latest Buyer Wire.

From top: Ciara in the Arrow Necklace, Erykah Badu in the Mars Necklace, Rihanna in the Got My Own Baguetes 4 Finger Ring, and Nicki Minaj in the Crane Earring.

Ciara in Cubannie Links

Ciara pulls together her relaxed look with the Guerra Chain by Cubannie Links, a piece that lets everyone know you mean business when it comes to accessories. Bold and chunky, the necklace features a bullet pendant and a gold rope chain — made with love in Brooklyn by Annie B. herself! We’re digging the way Ciara layered it with another chain, how would you style this piece?

Paris in Disney Couture

9faBceB7DB128cA6__gallery

Clearly I intend to do all of my holiday shopping at Karmaloop, but sometimes I’m a little unsure of my friends’ sizes.  The solution?  Jewelry of course!  I love The Tink Pearl Necklace like the similar Disney Couture  Tink necklace seen here on Paris Hilton.  Hope whoever I decide to give this to likes it too…

Street Style: Miss Lindsey (Summer Intern)

1 27

Left: The Sweetheart Dress by Rojas, The Legacy Fedora by RVCA, and The Carla Wedge by ASH Shoes complete my first look. With the right accessories, this dress can create different looks immediately. One of my favorite accessories is The Love Is Bleeding Necklace by Alex and Chloe. Though I’m picky with the way shoes look with outfits, these ASH wedges compliment my outfit really well.

Right: In my second outfit, i’m wearing The Tear Me Down Ripped Jean by Tripp NYC with a loud Darkhorse tank and a The McLean Flannel by RVCA. This outfit shows more of a wild side than my first outfit with the CHRISHABANA bracelet and the ripped detail on the legs of the jeans.

I love fashion because it allows me to show my creative side. My favorite brand at Karmaloop is Wildfox. Their pieces are dope because they’re classic, comfortable and unique.
