Karmaloop presents: The Vita Chambers giveaway!
Now who doesn’t like music and free stuff? Karmaloop and rising star Vita Chambers have teamed to provide you a chance to win a sick shopping spree and Vita Chambers prize pack. Grand Prize winners will recieve a signed poster, CD, and t-shirt and a $250 shopping spree on Karmaloop! It’s easy to enter, all you gotta do is sign up! The Contest will run from Wednesday, August 25th, to Friday, September 24th. Winners will be announced on Friday, October 2nd.
In case you haven’t already heard of her, the 17-year-old Pop singer Vita Chambers was born in Canada and raised in Barbados. She facilitated her own discovery on the net by posting music that she co-wrote and recorded in Barbados. Soon after being discovered via MySpace, Vita traveled to New York to sign and record her album with SRP/Universal Motown Records, the same label that also discovered the Bajan artists Rihanna and Shontelle. With a musical style that has been compared to Pink, Gwen Stefani and Kelly Clarkson, Vita says of her first album, “The songs are pop, but also with an element of rock. The lyrics are young, everything that goes through a teenager’s mind. I’d like my look to have a vintage and contemporary feel, something familiar, but cool and edgy and new, too. Wherever it goes, it’s got to be honest. I have a lot of female friends, and some have self-confidence issues, so always being true to yourself and comfortable in your skin is something I’m always concerned with.” Vita is currently touring with Justin Bieber.

The WeSC x Karmaloop T-Shirt Design Contest is drawing to a close! Designs must be submitted no later than THIS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 28! Don’t sleep on this one folks. To recap, the prize is a $500 gift certificate to Karmaloop and your design will be made into the official WeSC x Karmaloop tee. Not to mention, the winning design and runner ups will be judged by a panel of the notorious WeActivists. Talk about goods AND bragging rights. Get to work dolls!

As the WeSC takeover draws to a close, there is one thing we hope you will take away from the moment – besides a bold new blouse, look-at-me headphones, or classic trench! Get in the know with the proper pronunciation of the iconic, consistently sharp brand. Much less exotic as it seems (no fancy Swedish accents), it is simply we (as in you and I), the letter S, the letter C. The phonetics are as effortless as their clothes are cool.

The Superlative Conspiracy TAKEOVER
As you’ve probably noticed, WeSC (the “Superlative Conspiracy” for those of you living under a rock) has taken over Karmaloop and…we’re hoping it will also takeover your creative flow! The WeSC x Karmaloop Contest kicked off this week and we are calling on all you design aficionados to take a stab at designing a super sweet official collaboration tee. While we’re looking for mind-bending and boundary-pushing entries, we do have a couple rules you need to keep in mind:
- WeSC must be spelled as such! WeSC (capital, lower-case, capital, capital — easy right?)
- 1 design per person! No multiple email addresses!
Sooo what is the incentive here? A $500 shopping spree on Karmaloop.com! Not to mention, your design will be featured on Karmaloop AND WeSC’s sites — and for real bragging rights, made into the official WeSC x Karmaloop tee for a Fall 2010 drop, exclusively at Karmaloop.
